今日快報！中國吉利入主，高端技術傾囊相授，大馬國產車將快速敗部復活，成為真正的汽車製造商？

相比日本仔的自私不願轉移研發引擎技術，中國吉利汽車集團將真正帶領普騰從裝配廠轉型為汽車製造廠！看來普騰國產車終於找到好主人了！

馬哈迪主政的國產車長期變成國家的負資產；如今被納吉隔山打牛，讓奄奄一息的國產車計劃重獲生機，說不定從此高飛，發展成為東南亞舉足輕重的汽車製造廠呢！納吉打老馬這一個耳光，還挺響亮的咧！

中國吉利汽車已經獻議協助普騰發展高檔房車，同時進軍運動型多用途車SUV市場！

雖然全盤的收購計劃要等到4月份才正式公布，但是吉利汽車對打造全新的普騰品牌計劃已經有了完整的腹稿。

在一攬子發展計劃下，據悉，吉利汽車將為普騰引入汽車引擎研發技術，而這正是普騰長期嚴缺的。普騰一直以來隻能從日本購買完整引擎，而完全沒有自己研發引擎技術的能力。吉利汽車收購普騰，將把製造引擎的相關技術轉移到大馬，真正協助大馬發展汽車工業。

另外，吉利也計劃引進它在中國最暢銷的高檔房車GC9，還有運動型多用途車BoyueSUV；同時也轉移小型汽車製造工藝技術。

目前普騰國產車的系列型號汽車當中，最缺少的就是高端房車與運動型多用途車。高端房車目前隻有唯一的普騰將相，還是改裝自過時的、舊款的日本本田雅閣。而在SUV市場，普騰更是長期缺席。

吉利的GC9高檔房車是由瑞典VOLVO設計師親自操刀研發的高級房車，榮獲2016年度中國最佳房車金牌獎。吉利的SUV也有濃濃的瑞典歐陸風采，皆為中國汽車市場的暢銷品牌。

吉利的另一個雙贏計劃，是把中國原有的暢銷車型，從原本靠左駕駛改成靠右駕駛，進軍東南亞、澳洲、紐西蘭、日本、英國、印度、巴基斯坦等等靠右駕駛的國家市場。

相較於不願轉移引擎技術的日本，中國的傾囊相授，肯定會為普騰帶來質與量的突飛猛進！這絕對是好事。

Geely Offering GC9 Sedan, Boyue SUV And Small Car TechTo Proton, Aims RHD Partnership

China』s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co is prepared to sharewith Proton its know-how co-developed with its Swedish subsidiaryVolvo Cars, as part of the company』s pitch to seek control ofProton, reports Reuters.

The report, quoting unnamed sources in China familiar with thematter, said that Geely is looking for at least a 51 percent stakein Proton.

The technologies on offer by Geely include know-how inengineering D-segment and SUVs type vehicles - segments whichProton has limited or no presence in. Proton has no SUV models inits line-up while the D-segment Proton Perdana is developed basedon a one-off deal with Honda, involving the previous generationHonda Accord. In 2015, Honda said that there will be nofurther collaborations with Proton.

Reuters』s report also mentioned of Geely sharing its technologyin small car engineering, also co-developed with Volvo.

Two Geely models were mentioned in the report – the D-segmentGeely GC9 and the Geely Boyue five-seater SUV.

As mentioned in our earlier article chronicling the origins of Geely, the GC9 is powered by either a 163hpturbocharged 1.8-litre, 162hp naturally aspirated 2.4-litre or a270hp 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine, all self-developedby Geely and complies with Euro-5 emission standards. Inside, ithas enough features to rival any Japanese/Korean model, including360-degree view camera, Heads-Up Display, adaptive cruise control,autonomous braking and auto parking.

A 2.0-litre naturally aspirated version of the same engine usedin the GC9 is homologated for use in China』s FIA Formula 4 racingseries.

Last year, GC9 won over the Chinese motoring press to become thefirst Chinese car to win the China Car of the Year award. It』sdesigned by former Volvo Car designer Peter Horbury, who wasresponsible for the first generation Volvo S40.

Meanwhile the Boyue is powered by either a naturally-aspirated141hp 2.0-litre engine, or a 1.8-litre turbo with two differentstate of tune – 184hp and 163 hp.

The report by Reuters also added that Geely is prepared toinvest in Proton to grow its sales in right-hand drive (RHD)markets, alluding to deal that could see Proton selling right-handdrive Geely models under its own brand.

"There are 8 million RHD vehicles sold every year globally," oneof the individuals told Reuters. "Geely sells roughly zero RHDcars, so even if Geely cars were sold under Proton, if nothing elseGeely would make a handsome license fee."

"The overall plan is basically to invest in Proton to bring itback to global (sales) levels it had in the 1990s," the personadded.

Geely is in a two-horse race with France』s PSA Group, the makerof Peugeot and Citroen vehicles, to take form partnerships withProton, including the possibility of taking a controlling stake instruggling Malaysian car maker owned by the government-linkedDRB-Hicom.

An earlier report by The Star have said that Geelyis only interested in Lotus Cars, the famed but ailing Britishsports car specialist owned by Proton, while the PSA Group onlywants Proton, with the aim of using Proton』s under-utilized TanjungMalim plant as its regional manufacturing hub.

Proton is expected to make an announcement regarding its chosenforeign strategic partner within the first half of thisyear.
